Gifts or presentation (money) or both given at weddings?

A small gift table would be appropriate as some guests do bring gifts or cards with money in them.However, do not put presentation or anything else in the invite, this is a big no, no, against all wedding etiquette, yet people still do. The people you invite are your guests and are not really expected nor have to give you anything, but most do out of love and kindness. Say a nice thank you and smile, some guests will just put gifts on the table and not say anything. Just have someone watch the envelopes and gather them up when there is a few on table and put under table to hide. Yes, I have seen it happen, some people will steal anything not glued down.
