Why do Americans care more about whether a politician has an affair than whether they are totally corrupt?

im pretty sure there were problems with the first few people, they all had to resign or were kicked out of office. When it comes to bush, a multinational report said iraq had WMD's and they did threaten our nation, we had to act (get your facts strait hasnt even costed one trillion dollars)
