How should I get to Auschwitz?

I've always wanted to go to Oswiecim, Poland to visit Auschwitz. I just want to go to the place where my family was at so long ago. I see videos and pictures, but I want to see it to believe it. How much does it cost to go there? How should I get there? Can I get details please?
