XBL and random friend requests?

Hey I'm just wondering what people on xbox live think/may think about someone stating: "no random friend requests please" in their bio. I do it because I'm a chick and I get randoms all the time trying to add me or sending me messages, chat invites, game invites, etc. I feel that I'm only getting these because I am a girl and I acutally don't suck at the games I play, so I'm not playing for the OMFGWTFBBQ a girl is on xbl attention. I also get messages calling me a stuck up ****** just because I state "no random friend requests please" in my bio! Am I being a jerk for it? Should I remove this from my bio? Does it encourage more people to add/invite/message me?
