Aside from obviously being sure to check systems for leaks (you can use soapy solutions to check joints), and being aware of the odor of domestic LPG, also be aware of the fact that LPG is heavier than air and will aculate at floor level and may not be detectable higher up. Of course, never allow open flames, sparks or other sources of ignition to exist when working around LPG devices. If you smell gas or suspect a gas leak, call your gas company, leave the premises, and they will come to see what the problem is.
